JOHN E. SCULLY is Managing Director, Head of Small Business Digital at Bank of America.

Scully is responsible for the Bank’s Small Business digital solutions, through which the Bank’s 3.5 million customers are provided with exceptional digital experiences to help them grow and prosper.

Scully joined the Bank in 1996 as a project analyst and later, program manager. He transitioned into the product management world in 1999 and was a pioneer in the internet banking space when he helped launch CashPro® Online at LaSalle Bank. After the merger of LaSalle and Bank of America, Scully helped transition the CashPro® platform for use by all of the Bank’s clients. CashPro Online is now Bank of America’s flagship commercial offering and one of the top transaction banking applications in the world.

In 2018, Scully transitioned to the consumer bank where he now focuses on making the digital lives of Small Business better through intuitive online and mobile solutions.

Scully works extensively in the Lean-Agile space and helped transition the bank’s software development to a Lean-Agile model that streamlined product design and development.

Scully currently holds five patents for his work in global information reporting systems and the bank’s CashPro Assistant platform; and has five patents pending for a variety of digital banking services.

He is a Certified Treasury Professional and holds a Certified Six Sigma Greenbelt.

Scully graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in finance.

Active in the community, he has served on the board of directors for the Union League Club of Chicago, is a past president of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago Associate Board, and is a current member of the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab’s Keystone Board.

Scully resides in Wilmette, IL with his wife Erica and two children, John and Shae.
