Established in 1882 as Harris Bank, and owned by BMO Financial Group (TSX, NYSE: BMO with assets of $614 Billion) since 1984, BMO Harris Bank has grown to become one of the largest banks in the Midwest serving personal, commercial and affluent customers. BMO Harris Bank provides a broad range of personal and commercial products and solutions through over 570 branches, and fee-free access to over 43,000 ATMs across the United States.

In his role, Mark is responsible for defining the customer experience through strategy creation and execution, segmentation, sales effectiveness initiatives and reporting, vertical industries strategy and transformation projects. Mark joined BMO Harris Bank in 1992 and has held various roles within the company.

His background includes leading Business Banking and Middle Market sales teams in addition to mandates that have included creation and management of the Bank’s centralized underwriting/portfolio management units. He has been responsible for merger and integration projects during his career. Mark was also instrumental in the development and execution of the Bank’s U.S. Small Business Administration program.

Mark graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois with Finance and Marketing degrees and received his Masters of Business Administration in Financial Services from Dalhousie University.

Mark has served on several economic, non-profit and business development boards. He currently serves on the Growth Corp, a US Small Business Administration Certified Development Company and is an adjunct business professor.
